The natural precedes and works with the supernatural

The principle being flaunted by this quote was not supposed to be so, as far as man created and made on earth in the image and likeness of God, is concerned.

What that means is that this quote would not be applicable to Adam and Eve, in the way they lived their lives in the spiritual garden east of Eden, the kind of life they lived was not aided by the natural, though they were destined to thrive and have king dominion in a natural atmosphere - more as spiritual beings living their lives in the natural.

The Bible describes how they were aware of their natural bodies, but because they were extremely taken up by their spiritual and divine nature, they were not conscious of it, to the point that they were not even ashamed:

📖 Genesis 2:25
25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed. KJV.

Meaning they were strictly spiritual and they never entertained anything natural to make them live in the natural world it's very certain in this wise to imagine that they even could call those things which be not as though they were, and they appeared
No doubt we never heard that they did work or gathered food and to cook to eat, nor did they have to invent natural things to assist them live in this natural world. Just to mention simple things like knives, cooking pots, a house to shelter them from natural hazards etc.

If we can start from creation, we understand that God made things that are on earth from things that do not appear:

3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. KJV.

Even man was still spirit in 📖 Genesis 1:26 created in the image and likeness of God but had ultimately to be made natural in 📖 Genesis 2:7 so created by the Spirit but made natural by mounding made in mud to become a living soul. So spiritual to natural.

So we see that the route of having things done on earth from the vantage point of heaven, is, from heaven to earth or is always supernatural to natural. This is how Adam and Eve were able to live on earth and certainly was the Lord God's original idea, for life of humans on earth. Today it could be regarded as a "hoopy spooky" kind of life.

It is after their fall from king dominion that we see how God apportioned as verdict, first to Eve and then to Adam, natural things to make them do, to live life in the natural:

16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. KJV.

We are told also that it's after the fall from the spiritual vantage point of dominion thar they were even aware or conscious of their natural bodies;

📖 Genesis 3:7
7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. KJV.

Purpose of the revelations from the quote.
So, this position being flaunted by this quote is for the unregenerated man (man who is said to be a natural man), as well as to the regenerated, who are born again as spirit beings into the Kingdom of heaven on earth.
So the purpose of regeneration is to kindle and start the process of reverting to the spiritual state of livelihood as was in the garden east of Eden, simulating heaven on earth the Lord God's original plan.

So going back to the quote, it would mean that the fall of man from king dominion placed a huge drawback to the effectiveness to living life on earth, with the earth somehow abating how man can once more ascend to the life of spirits, totally in the spirit realms as it were with Adam and Eve.

The quote is trying to stress the starting point of the newly regenerate man delving into living life in the spiritual - before they can become efficient in walking in the spirit and not to minimize the help of the natural.

So as a starting point for man to achieve anything on earth, it can be first in the natural breaking into the natural to involve the spiritual. While waiting for the time when the human spirit must have been in complete sync, over time with the indwelling Holy Spirit, from the Lord God.

Many phony believers think they are spiritual enough, and therefore not having to do with anything natural - their natural efforts and capabilities and faculties don't any longer have a role in contemporary existence since they now are partakers of the divine nature. This is very true but this depends on one's knowledge of God and of Jesus Christ. Meanwhile an increase in one's spiritual nature:

2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. KJV.

These so called Christians claim natural efforts are not necessary and that when one reverts to the natural, they believe one is carnal and not exhibiting the spiritual nature you are even as a partaker of the divine nature.

This article is to show that, as we move on to perfection in the spiritual, who we are, as born again believers, and more so as king-priests, we should not forsake the use of the natural while we nature in the spiritual.

For example, consider these actions.
For anyone to become born again, that one must use the ears to hear the word of faith, and to equally use the mouth to physically connect to the spiritual ream in the confession of the Lord Jesus as Lord.

17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. KJV.

Romans 10:9-10
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. KJV.

Your physical abilities are very important in the supernatural e.g. the woman with the issue of blood a physical action necessitating the use of her natural abilities for to experiencing the unknown

📖 Matthew 9:20-21
20 And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:
21 For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. KJV.

It was by using the natural of touching the physical garment of Jesus that she could arrive at the supernatural for healing.

What you see and hear helps the supernatural. The case of the very renowned pharisee and leader Nicodemus.
By Nicodemus' confession of taking note of miracles done by our Lord Jesus, meant that he had seen the spiritual Kingdom of God as justified by the Lord Himself.

📖 John 3:2-3
2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

• It takes humans to pray with human faculties to access the spiritual realm. Prayer is tge use of human faculties to attain the spiritual realms - in communication with God and affecting the supernatural. At one time the Lord Jesus told His disciples how their natural bodily abilities couldn't allow them to attain this possibility.

📖 Matthew 26:41
41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. KJV.

📖 Luke 18:1
1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, *and not to faint; KJV.

If you don't work you can't eat. Some believers from experience fail to work and assume that by faith they can have all they want from God in prayer, without working. The Apst Paul noticed this in the church in Thesalonica, where many abused faith in this way making shipwreck of faith, so he warned:

10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat. KJV.

So, with the previous point of having to work before eating or to having money, you will also judge that there's not always miracle money. Miracle money could be possible in not more than 1% of times. Because it takes real devotion on the part of the one praying for miracle money and the one receiving the miracle money. It's not a given to just say believer.
When believers are sick, they should first determine with the help of God in prayer whether to seek medical attention or spiritual attention. It's not all sicknesses of the righteous that warrants spiritual attention. The medical field is the Lord's first point of consideration in matters of sick bodies here on earth. The Lord has given spiritual gifts of healings, starting from the medical field which we here will term the natural.

📖 1 Corinthians. 12:28*
And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracle, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. KJV

For most of what we are called to do while on earth for the Lord's name's sake, must require our natural abilities and faculties as well. They are graces given to human beings, regenerated or unregenerated. The spirit cannot function beyond the consciousness of the soul.

📖 Proverbs. 21:25
25 The desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labour. KJV

God wants to use an aspect of His being the power of the Holy Spirit to bear on the natural realms of His creation.

Being spiritual is not being hoopy spooky!!

Our actions in the natural actuate or activate the spiritual - you, going to church, is a natural action to allow for the building up of the soul and spirit.
So, as spiritual beings quite right, do not minimize the role of the natural as well, if you want to be spiritual or access the spiritual. Do not always wait in anticipation, thinking God will have all done for you, as it was in the beginning with Adam and Eve in the spiritual garden of heaven on earth eastcof Eden.
