KINGDOM PERSPECTIVE OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD
The word gospel is derived from a rendering of the Latin evangelium and the Greek euangelion, meaning “good news” or “good telling.”
In time men have to come to terms with what exactly is "good" in the gospel - is it:
- the concept of man living in a Kingdom
or - the concept of man being saved from sin
or - the concept of man being favoured by grace (unmerited) or
- the concept of man being prosperous and living a prosperous lifestyle?
Today there's this misconception that these are separate gospels or different kinds of good news, and one is left to choose that which to accept as the gospel of our Lord Jesus.
Many are quick to mention the gospel of Jesus Christ but fail to specify the gospel Jesus preached and taught - which is the gospel of the Kingdom.
As though our Lord Jesus knew that there'll be this problem to the gospel he brought to earth, let's simply refer to what Jesus Himself said about the gospel:
- Matthew 6:33
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Which simply means study first; come to terms first; prioritize how the Kingdom of God functions and with it the righteousness of God necessary to this Kingdom. If one is true to one's self one will agree that:
a. salvation - is being saved from the kingdom of darkness to the Kingdom of Heaven leading to a righteous life style typified of this Heavenly Kingdom of God.
b. salvation is by the grace of God.
c. prosperity is necessary in the soul and life of a kingdom citizen here on earth.
- Matthew 4:23
And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
The Lord Jesus preached and taught the gospel of tge Kingdom of God.
- Matthew 24:14
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
Here our Lord Jesus emphasizes the imperative need to prioritize the gospel of the Kingdom and none other (as men in time have done unfortunately in almost all christiandom) for His long awaited second coming to earth for Kingdom rulership.
Whenever one prioritizes the focus on this gospel following this order from our Lord Jesus in Mtt.6:33:
- one comes to terms that the Scriptures and the Word of God as a whole revolves around - a King, His Kingdom and His Royal family of believers rightly called king-priests.
- becoming a king-priest highlights the priesthood ministry of all believers - a position prerequisite for the participation of all believers in the power of life on earth necessary for righteous living and prosperity of nations as a whole.
- one is open to the power of the mysteries of the Kingdom because power is found only in a governmental structure or country/kingdom setting.
- one will experience a paradigm shift in knowledge and experience as a believer in our Lord Jesus.
- nations all over the world through the agencies of righteous kingdom citizens will participate in good governance, peace, righteous lifestyles and prosperity of the planet as a whole - exactly what the world is seeking for today.
